Nov. 7th - 125th Anniversary Gameday

SAE will commemorate its 125th year at the University of Florida by
having a band and barbeque at our house on 2 Fraternity Row prior to the
Vanderbilt football game. Florida Upsilon would like to welcome all
friends, family, and alumni to come out and celebrate this great

 Cajun Cookout
Our annual philanthropy, Cajun Cookout, was yet again a great success grossing record revenues and attendance in 2009. Under the directorship of Doug Holder, guests enjoyed authentic Louisiana Cajun food while enjoying the sounds of cover band Decagon. Perrenial powerhouse, Delta Gamma, yet again won the overall competition, while Zeta Tau Alpha was our runner up. With Cajun Cookout's success, SAE raised $6,000 dollars to Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Alachua and $6,000 to our Ehren Murburg Memorial Scholarship. With this SAE can proudly boast $20,000 of donations to Big Brothers and Big Sisters in the past 4 years. We look forward to another successful cookout in Spring 2010.

Social Events
One of the greatest aspects to the fraternity experience is the growth of an individual socially. Whether it be sharing stories with alumni, hanging with a brother, or having a social event with one of Florida’s finest sororities, SAE constantly tries to provide its members with the most opportune environment to meet and connect with others. Every semester we have five socials with a sorority, along with grab-a-dates, Woodsers, and band parties. This upcoming fall, we will be having a cookout and game day party for home games along with a Fraternity Roadtrip to New Orleans to cheer on our Florida Gators againsts the LSU Tigers. In the spring we also have a number of different social activities. These events include our Paddy Murphy Formal, Savannah Semi-Formal, and our “Get Wet” pool party.
